Tornato

that' one of the words i've heard quite frequently in the past three days. Yep, sono tornato a Italia :) I just have to find out if the correct answer to "Ben tornato" is Grazie or Si...we'll see.

Back i am, and shall be for quite some time...though the story was getting quite, let's say, adventurous in the past weeks. At first i thought i might just translate the stuff i write here in Czech to English and make it look like i am a fertile writer with a shitloads of things on his mind. Well, of course i am, but i won't be repeating the same stuff all over again. Just a bit.
Physically getting to Italy was not such a tough job to do (expect for the bus i missed in Prague, which led to a thrilling situation involving me getting one of the last tickets for a bus line going half an hour later, Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, a panino with salmon and dill, and a sympathetic girl at the counter, who was brave enough to call to Brno to stop the other bus i was supposed to catch) and the cappuccino and brioche - more of a croissant with filling - at 3am in Bologna and latte caldo at 7am in a café at the main square in Faenza made me feel i really arrived.
The stuff before the journey was a bit more enervating, since there was more paperwork to be done compared to my last stay here - for the Erasmus I just needed to write some emails to Faenza, get no response, come in person in order to leave a handwritten note on the director's desk, write some more emails and get about two forms signed at school. Since this time i was applying for a position at the institute, the administrative journey went through the Italian embassy in Prague, two Czech ministries (twice, since i misunderstood the guy at the embassy at the first time), a legal Czech-Italian translator, back to the embassy, and then...when I expected the end of the administrative stuff...i found out that the resulting papers are to be sent to Rome...where they are probably until now. Oh yes, the end of August is a good time for holidays, but not for paperwork, since there ain't nobody in the offices. Well, anyway, after these and other now funny stories i just happen to be here, accepted to the institute and living quite in the centre of Faenza (see the map above). And that feels good. Maaan, that feels good, especially with the sunny weather and all the italy around me!
And here is my recent lair from within :)
